EBW // Our Story
From a scrappy 200-person conference to Africa's most ambitious decentralized festival. This is how Enugu became the blockchain capital of Southeast Nigeria.
Origin Story
Our first blockchain conference in Southeast Nigeria. Hosted by Nextbridge Africa with partners Viction and Chainlyze. 200+ attendees. A seed was planted.
Powered by Internet Computer Protocol. 3 winning projects emerged, proving Enugu builders could ship production-grade Web3 solutions under pressure.
Side events + main conference spanning a full week. Partners: Reef, Lisk, Umi, Digitpay, FinnaHQ. 500+ attendees. The city started to buzz.
12 days. 30+ events. Hackathons, workshops, cultural nights, sports tournaments, and the flagship summit. EBW goes full festival mode.
What We Stand For
We build for the African context — real problems, real solutions, real impact. Not a copy of Western Web3 culture.
EBW has no single body. Communities, protocols, and builders host their own events under one umbrella.
Panels are secondary to shipping. Our hackathons run 6 days. Our workshops are hands-on. We optimize for output.
EVM, Solana, ICP, Cosmos — all welcome. The best ideas win, regardless of which chain they run on.
7 university communities. 5,000+ students engaged. EBW bridges campus developers and the global Web3 ecosystem.
Highlife music, local cuisine, Udi Hills hikes, and the Blockchain Cup sit alongside keynotes. Tech and culture are inseparable.
Organizing Network
EBW is a collective effort. No single company owns it. Communities, protocols, and individuals come together to make it happen.
